Description:	Overview Urban Forestry LLC will be offering its Tree School 2010 on March 2 and 3 at the BEST Center of Genesee Community College in Batavia NY (map below). This is designed primarily to help green industry professionals prepare for the certification examination offered by the International Society of Arboriculture, but it is suitable for general training in urban forestry as well. Certified arborists may enroll for CEUs with a 40% discount. Pre-registration required by Tuesday, February 23. ISA Certification exam An official ISA Certified Aborist examination has been arranged by the New York State Arborists: Date: March 8 Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County, 249 Highland Avenue, Rochester NY Time: Check in 1 pm, exam 1:30 NOTE:You can only register for this examination through the ISA. For information about exam fee, exam subjects and species, see the NYS Arborists website. Be sure not to forget to study species ID using your state's list (the NYS list is here). Chris Luley has a conflict for the Wed 2:00 session, and will be replaced by Jana Lamboy, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Horticulture, Finger Lakes Community College, an IPM specialist DEC Pesticide Recertification credits have been awarded for Tuesday and Wednesday morning in Category 3a and 10 (1.5/category each day). A new edition of the Arborist's Certification Study Guide has just been released, and will be available to us at the same price as the old one. This is a very good deal. Travel Directions: From Thruway exit #48, follow Genesee Community College (GCC) signs: turn right on Route 98, cross over the Thruway, turn right onto West Saile Road (Airport Road), turn right on Bank Street at stop sign, cross over the Thruway again and turn left onto Assemblyman R.
